It’s good to have goals–especially for satellite manufacturing. However, does aiming for a manufacturing capacity that is still short of the competition make sense? Who would buy the satellites?

What happens when safety seems to be sacrificed on the altar of “innovation”? What if there’s no innovation, but safety still remains in a murky place? Is safety a feature or a reasonable standard?
